Sponsor a Camper

Every summer, the J.L. King Center runs a free 6-week summer camp. Our campers participate in dozens of activities organized by our youth coordinator, Margaret Brown, and her many community partners. On average the cost of summer camp is $10,000.

Each camp day, campers receive breakfast, lunch and a snack. Campers participate in various crafts and activities supplied by the center and end the summer with a field trip. In 2021, Camper’s visited the Civil Rights Museum, and this past summer, our youth visited the Children’s Museum. Students are transported by charter bus and provided a meal, buffet style, at Golden Corral.

Our FREE summer camp is a MAJOR need in the community and the kids love it! Help us keep summer fun for our youth, DONATE TODAY!
